Legend Learning in Cupertino

Legend Learning is holding a Chinese Immersion Camp over the summer of 2012.  This camp is designed for students of elementary age levels, with or without experience in learning Chinese.  Language immersion is a teaching method for a second language.  Rather than only teaching the language itself, teachers use the target language to conduct the activties.  In this way, the students are surrounded by (or immersed in) the environment where the target language is used. 

During the 2012 Chinese Immersion Camp, a thematic approach will be adopted.   Students meet Monday through Friday each week from 1:00-4:00.   They will participate in language and cultural activities revolving a different theme every week.   It will be a one-of-a-kind language learning experience that includes projects, stories, arts, games, food, and fun, in addition to a structured language curriculum.  The curriculum will be adapted to students of different levels of learning experience and cultural backgrounds. 

An optional music component is offered in the morning through a partnership with Joyful Melody Music School.  Free shuttle will be offered to participate the music curriculum at Joyful.   The music curriculum is designed to coordinate and enhanced the learning in the afternoon session to create a comprehensive immersion experience.  This feature is available for the week of 7/16-7/20, 7/30-8.3, and 8/13-8/17.

Fee Schedule:

Core Curriculum: $195 per week (1:00-4:00)

Core Curriculum with music component (9:00-4:00): $340
